Use Bitpie wallet to retrieve the USDT that was sent to the BTC address by mistake

The Omni version of the USDT is the same as the address format of the sending and receiving addresses and the bitcoin. Some users will mistaken the USDT to the address of the BTC, resulting in the loss of assets.

Tools/ Raw materials

⦁Bitpie wallet version 3.5.1 or higher.

⦁The Mnemonics (12 words) or private key corresponding to the BTC address (incorrectly receiving USDT)

⦁The BTC address needs a small amount of bitcoin, enough to pay the miners (0.0001 BTC is enough)

⦁A good network environment

Method / Step

⦁Open the Bitpie wallet and enter the homepage. Click on “Me” – the upper right corner of the settings – import the private key or Verify Mnemonics

⦁If you have a private key that misdirects the BTC address, select “Import private key”. If you have Mnemonics (12 words), you can choose to import Mnemonics. Here is an example of importing Mnemonics (12 words).

⦁Import private key or Mnemonics (12 words) First select the currency to import to Bitpie – select USDT-OMNI. Then enter the words in the input box.

⦁. Detect USDT. After the 12 words have been entered in sequence, click on the upper right corner to detect, then confirm the detected mistransfer amount and miner fee, click “confirm”

⦁Wait a moment and you will receive the lost USDT.
