What’s new in Tron’s Sun Network? – UtopiaPress
It is a mainly a sidechain solution addresses the scalability issue
The dApps platform has presented itself as a serious challenger to the hegemony of Ethereum ever since its inception — improving on the shortcomings of the Ethereum network especially with its high scalability claiming processing speed of 2000 TPS as compared to ETH’s 25 TPS. No wonder Tron CEO, Justin Sun has been an open critic of the Ethereum network.
Tron has grown in stature & popularity under the leadership of Sun with his sharp business acumen. However, he has been criticized vehemently by the Ethereum proponents for his public condemnation of Tron’s predecessor & main competitor. The blockchain project was again in the news — and no it was not for Justin Sun’s infamous & now postponed charity dinner with Warren Buffet.
Tron announced the V1.0 code release of TRON’s sidechain solution, Sun Network. As per the blog, The Sun network has two notable advantages over other scaling solutions — first being the support for smart contract transactions focusing on improving the transactions speed on the Main net & second being the support for a much more customized sidechain. The sidechain provides incentives, transaction rates & speed confirmation among others, catering to varying developer groups and their needs.
Apart from the smart contract optimized sidechain, scaling projects like smart contract optimized application DAppChain and other cross-chain communications features have also been added to the Sun network.
The eventual goal for the scalability solution is to expand the capacity of the Tron network & provide unlimited scalability to the Tron Main net. By solving one of the core problems of the blockchain network solutions, Tron intends to strive for a more vibrant, secure & energy efficient ecosystem which would eventually help in the widespread blockchain adoption.
