Go for Glory, or Play It Safe
Today, we are beginning the beta of PlayWinEther, a social game from a group of people with a lot of experience in trading, gaming, FX and crypto but still wide-eyed in amazement at the kind of technology and developments in the blockchain and crypto space that have been going on over the last couple of years. To be honest, we didn’t invent this game and we would be the last to claim such a thing.
But we have dabbled in the crypto and gaming world enough to understand some of the cravings of the users as we have faced them ourselves. This has helped us to come up with this version of the famous pot game and we believe that you will like it too.
The game as such, is very simple. You deposit ether into a time- restricted pot and whoever deposits the last, will get 30% of the entire pot. Why Ether? You can ask any of the early adopters of crypto and we are sure that most of them would express their secret love for Ether, especially if they are developers. Not bitcoin, not Ripple. Just Ether. We come from that school.
For each deposit, the expiry time of the pot gets extended by 15 seconds. This is as simple as a game can get. So, what happens to the other 70%? 60% of the pot, at the end of the game, goes back to the depositors as dividends. So, if you are the first depositor and 100 users deposit after you, you get 100 dividends, the second depositor gets 99 dividends and so on. 60% of each deposit is given back to the previous depositors.
This ensures that all the players get back something and some of the early players get more than what they have deposited, which makes it very attractive and more a social game. It is in the interest of the players to keep the game running so that they can make more and more dividends and it encourages them to deposit more and also bring in more players so that everyone can benefit. A truly social game!! And with the minimum being just 0.01 ETH, it is all to play for! Of course, there has to be a winner and he/she is rewarded 30% of the pot for making that one last effort!
We have a 10 minute game for those who like a quick game and a 5 minute game who want an even quicker dash. So, as you can see, the game is a combination of being social friendly, ease-of-use and also fill-your-pocket kind of stuff! We are doing a small closed beta by inviting people to play this game and give us their honest feedback which we hope will help us improve this game before it gets out into the big, bad world.
Come in, play and let’s make this a truly engaging experience for all.
