  1. The low percentage of girls is disappointing. But this is on them. They cannot pull the misogyny card this time. Crypto is decentralized. There is no one gatekeeping them from investing.

  2. As a teen who’s going to trade crypto the second he turns 18, these stats make sense- although my friends don’t know much about crypto or investing in general, I’ll probably convince them to allocate a small portion of their portfolio into crypto.

As for the gender statistics, among my age group, girls do seem to be more risk adverse, and while they’re more likely to take responsibility for things like academics and jobs, they don’t seem to be interested in these things. Not that I’ve met anyway.

  3. The teen dudes of today will grow up to be neckbeard millionaires tomorrow. The hot girls will find out theyre rich 15 years later afterignoring them in highschool like “heyyyy Bobby, remember me from civics classs!”

  4. I can already see the fucking news headlines …

“Cryptocurrency is just reinventing the patriarchy by not having equal representation”

    “The Crypto-Patriarchy”

    “Crypto-sexism, the new pandemic”

    And everyone favourite

“Crypto is for nazis and racists”

  5. 9% seems pretty high considering the fact that they probably don’t have a ton of money to begin with as well as the fact that they haven’t been alive that long.

  6. I can’t imagine what purpose that statistic serves, outside of FUD about teenagers taking financial risks, and somehow making a gender bias thing out of it

  7. i’ve been with my girl for 5 years, we have a child together and she’s watched me buy and trade and hodl crypto since 2017 but sh’s never once expressed any interest in dabbling herself…..

i just asked her why and she said she doesn’t understand it so i asked if she wanted to understand it and she said no, she doesn’t have time for it….. too much time wasted on social media probably

  8. 9% actually sounds pretty decent for once for a survey on crypto. Although it says teens and you can’t trade under 18, so it is only for 18 and 19 year olds? then 9% sounds pretty high again.
