Dennis Quaid is putting Hollywood age gaps on blast! The 70-year-old actor is shutting down the noise about the 39-year age difference between him and his wife, Laura Savoie, calling her the “light of his life.”
Love Finds Dennis
Quaid recently opened up to Fox News Digital about his relationship with Savoie, whom he married in 2020. “Honestly, the age difference? I don’t think about it,” he declares. He goes on to praise his wife, “She’s so amazing, it just doesn’t matter. She’s my sunshine!”
This isn’t the first time Quaid has addressed the age gap. Back in 2019, he told The Guardian, “It really doesn’t bother us.” He elaborated, “Everyone has their own experiences and opinions, but I can’t control how they feel. And frankly, I don’t get hung up on it.”
Happily Ever After (Finally!)
For Quaid, this marriage feels like the real deal. He’s been married three times before: to P.J. Soles (1978-1983), Meg Ryan (1991-2001), and Kimberly Buffington (2004-2018). He shares a son with Ryan and twins with Buffington.
“Look, I wasn’t looking for someone younger,” Quaid clarifies. “We met at a work event, and it just clicked. You can’t choose who you fall in love with, right? And let me tell you, falling in love isn’t easy for me. But this is different. This feels permanent. She’s my true partner.”
Quaid and Savoie, who live in Nashville, even run a production company together called Bonniedale Films. Their latest project? A movie called “The Long Game,” based on a true story about a group of young Hispanic American caddies who built their own golf course in the desert!
So there you have it! Dennis Quaid is living proof that love can truly blossom at any age. Age difference? Who cares! We wish this happy couple all the best!
