It is both though so *shrug*
any sentence that starts off with “Crypto was created to…..” insta cringe. I can read Satoshi’s white paper if I want to know why bitcoin was created, he wrote it better than anything wendy could write on his behalf same goes to anyone on crypto twitter quoting rando billionaires
I don’t let Wendy tell me how to think.
But it is both. There’s no cognitive dissonance in that.
Why can’t it just be both?
A currency that also serves as an actual store of value basically makes it an investment in my book.
Maybe the old definitions simply cant keep up with the times..
Wendy Who?
It is both. Right now we’re in the price discovery phrase prices are volatile (on the way up!) and later it gets stabilised and ppl will be using it as a currency. We don’t want to repeat the 10k BTC Pizzas event so why would I want to spend it today? I only spend in a limited way and make sure I’ll replenish the sats after spending. But later things can look v diff. And then bitcoin might just appreciate according to human’s technological advances in a slow and stable manner. What is the contradiction?
