  1. > Shoppers had better start budgeting more for their groceries..

Right, groceries. Never mind the $700k house in your “medium cost of living city” that was $350k a couple years ago. The groceries are killing us.

  2. Shrinkflation. One day, the box of wheeties you’ve been buying for years will smaller. Then it’ll be smaller again. Then they’ll introduce “king size” which is the same as the old box but for a higher price. Then they’ll drop the “king size” and the smaller options (well, it’ll still be at five below).

    Then that box becomes smaller.

  3. Asset inflation is happening everyone! Not that I have a crystal ball anything. I do have a friend that is in the import/export and with that Canal blockage and having so much stuff delayed we’re at least 6mo behind. I also work for a large QSR and they foresee shortages spiking in these next 6mo. I’m not even big on crypto myself but forcing myself to learn and be a part of it. I hope the inflation doesn’t happen, but hopefully, this info can help.

  4. tldr; The US consumer price index (CPI) has risen 0.6% in March, the largest one-month increase in nearly a decade, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The index for fruits and vegetables has risen nearly 2% since February, while the index for meats, poultry, fish and eggs have risen by 0.4%. Over the past year, prices have increased 2.6%.

  5. I strongly believe that crypto will be the main currency in the future, mainly for the finite supply factor. Governments can always print more money to pay their bills, but you can’t do that with crypto.

  6. I was pretty sure i read somewhere that the reason for the higher grocery costs is due to higher fuel costs, reduced crop yields, and staffing shortages not inflation.
