Angelina Jolie is proving that she’s not over her war with ex-husband Brad Pitt. Nearly two months after their seven-year divorce was finalized, Jolie has slammed the retired judge who oversaw the custody battle, alleging that he was biased in favor of Pitt.
In a two-page letter to California Governor Gavin Newsom, Jolie accused retired Los Angeles judge John W. Ouderkirk of being “biased” in favor of Pitt because he had business relationships with Pitt’s attorneys. The note was written in support of a bill requiring domestic violence training for judges, mediators, and other court professionals on the effects of child abuse and trauma, but insiders say there was another motive.
“Angie has previously accused Brad of child abuse, so her support for this issue can be seen as a not too thinly veiled shot at her ex-husband,” one insider told The National Enquirer. “It’s also a very clear indication she intends to continue to go after him — and his friends.”
A second insider told the outlet that “she’s wanted to destroy Brad for so long. She’s not going to let the divorce agreement that finally ended their court battle get in the way of her campaign for vengeance.”
Jolie’s allegations against Ouderkirk come amid her ongoing custody battle with Pitt over their six children. The couple has been locked in a bitter dispute since Jolie filed for divorce in 2016.
In her countersuit against Pitt, Jolie alleged that he “grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her” before allegedly turning on the children who rushed to their mother’s rescue. “At one point, he poured beer on Jolie; at another, he poured beer and red wine on the children.”
Jolie also accused Pitt of choking one of the children and striking another in the face during the infamous 2016 flight.
Pitt has denied all of Jolie’s allegations.
The FBI and the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services both investigated Pitt for child abuse, but no charges were filed.
Despite the investigations being closed, Jolie continues her crusade against her ex-husband in their fight over their $164 million French winery.
Insiders say Jolie is still holding a grudge against Pitt and that she’s determined to destroy him. It remains to be seen how far she’s willing to go.
