Argentina’s central bank wants to track every buy/sell transaction of Crypto. It is possible? Or is just another laughable instance of dinosaurs politicians trying to control Crypto?

  1. Electronic money is inevitably a means of state control, otherwise China woudn’t be moving towards digital currency. Don’t assume you are safe from taxes, they’ll catch up with you eventually.

  2. I think in the end this will end up being a lot like tax evasion in general: there will be ways to buy and sell coins under the radar of the tax men/women (eg Monero atomic swaps through defi exchanges, hopefully) but it will be too complex for the average investor. They will be able to track purchases through exchanges and tax the majority of the population, but dedicated white-collar criminals will be able to use crypto to their advantage, the same way they have always done with lotteries, art, etc. I think this will end up being true in most of the world.
