Bitcoin Depot, a leading Bitcoin ATM operator and fintech firm, has announced the extension of its BDCheckout program to Iowa and Louisiana, made possible through its ongoing collaboration with InComm Payments, a global payments technology company. Initially introduced in 2022, BDCheckout offers an app-based solution for users to conveniently load cash into their Bitcoin Depot digital wallets right at the cash register.
Through their partnership with InComm Payments, Bitcoin Depot has made BDCheckout accessible at a total of 246 locations across Iowa, including prominent convenience store partners like Kum & Go, Kwik Trip, and Pilot Travel Centers. Additionally, BDCheckout is now rolling out to 166 locations in Louisiana.
Prior to this expansion, Bitcoin Depot successfully obtained its money transmitter “MTL” license in both Iowa and Louisiana.
Brandon Mintz, the founder and CEO of Bitcoin Depot, remarked, “We launched BDCheckout last year to provide users with another layer of ease and convenience when managing their Bitcoin Depot digital wallets.” To utilize BDCheckout, individuals need to download or update the Bitcoin Depot mobile app. This app enables users to generate a barcode within the application and seamlessly fund their wallet with cash right at the register of any participating nearby retail location.
