that makes a lot of sense, btc is definitely going to go higher, so unless they immediately need to, there isn’t much point in selling rn

Miners believe in the longer term I’d guess. No need to sell if they believe BTC is going to appreciate further.
Eventually, BTC will need to switch to a Proof of Stake concept to remain stable and viable, so in order for miners to keep making money, they need to stake. In order to stake you need BTC 🙂
