Bitcoin mining taxation in Hong Kong

Hi guys! I am a mining noob based in Hong Kong and was recently introduced to Compass Mining ([https://compassmining.io/](https://compassmining.io/)) by a mate from the US. It looks very promising and I have been considering getting started with them. But then I haven’t been able to find any clear guidelines on taxation for individual miners in HK. Can anyone share any wisdom on this topic?

* How would tax work for an individual in HK who uses a service like Compass Mining (based in the US) to mine crypto? Note that Compass offers many options for mining farms located across US, Canada and several other countries.
* Would I need to pay tax even if I don’t convert my mined bitcoins to fiat?
* Would I need to pay any tax to the US if I pick a farm located there?
* Lastly, any advice on mining bitcoin using such a service in general will also be highly appreciated!

Thanks a lot in advance!

  1. 1) HK does not have any regulation regarding taxation on mining as of now, you can still send anonymous email to IRD to check

    2) Why would you buy hardware through US company who will supply you “made in china” hardware when you could be better off buying directly from China or just go Dragon Center ShumShiPo for one.
