  1. I mean, yes, but that is still a huge fucking number for just one thing. Not that I agree with the energy FUD, and I think sustainable and green mining is a great chance for innovation, but “only ~1% of total global emissions” is not a good argument. That’s actually a ton.

  2. That’s terrible, every transaction costs 1800kWh and an iPad of waste, according to Belgian media.

    If true, Bitcoin should transfer to POS if wide adoption is the goal. Being decentralised,it won’t be easy if possible at all. .
