Britney Spears has had a lot to deal with lately, like rumors that her marriage to Sam Asghari is Toxic, the airing of a TMZ documentary about her, and the legal limbo of her yet-to-be-released memoir. But one long-running burden she’s had to bear is her animosity towards her family since she’s been freed from her conservatorship. Her estranged mom, Lynne Spears, had tried to reach out to Britney before, which wasn’t received well, but Britney must have finally decided that Lynne is the parent who’s the lesser of two evils because although Brit used to have her blocked on Instagram and once posted that she (and the rest of the Spearses) should “go fuck themselves,” Lynne flew to L.A. yesterday to visit with Britney at her home, and Britney actually let her come in.
A source (who may or may not have called and given the name “Sa- I mean, Pam” while sounding like a typical L.A. actor attempting to speak in a high-pitched voice) gave TMZ all of the exclusive details of Lynne’s half-hour visit.
Lynne Spears arrived at LAX in the morning and was driven to the home of Britney’s manager, Cade Hudson. She then took an Uber to Britney’s home.
We’re told Britney didn’t know exactly when Lynne was coming, but she knew her mom was in town to see her.
When Lynne arrived at Britney’s home, the singer let her inside and the 2 spent around 30 minutes chatting. We’re told Sam was also present.
After Lynne left, Britney and Sam got in her car, drove around for a bit and then returned home.
Apparently, the two have been texting and slowly reopening the path to a mother-daughter relationship. Britney did post a cut-off topless titty-squeezing pic back in December asking Lynne to have coffee and chat with her, but she also talked about revealing her body and traveling to Mexico in the same post, so it’s hard to know if she was still just being sarcastic and ornery toward her mom as per her usual:
The source said Lynne is “committed to making it right with her daughter.” Hopefully, that entails no more mooching of legal fees from her. And, maybe she could slap talk some sense into her to be open to taking better care of herself, get right with her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James Federline, and never blow a chance to collab with Beyoncé ever again.
