Britney Spears’s memoir, The Woman in Me, is coming out very soon, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release. The book is expected to be a tell-all, covering her fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and freedom. It will reportedly go deep into her early life, career, and the conservatorship that stripped her of her rights in 2008 until she finally broke free from it in 2021.
The book is being narrated by Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams, with Britney herself recording an intro. Williams said that while “reliving everything” as she worked on the book “has been exciting,” it’s also been “heart-wrenching and emotional, to say the least.”
There has been a lot of buzz about the book, with some insiders saying that it will go after Justin Timberlake hard. Timberlake publicly apologized to Britney in 2021 for being a “louse” when he was younger, and the book is expected to shed more light on their relationship.
Britney is not doing any interviews to promote the book, and she is also sitting out a book tour. However, the publisher has partnered with Painting With a Twist for Brit-themed “paint and sip” parties to get fans together to celebrate the launch.
Britney has said that writing the book has been “healing and therapeutic” for her, and that she worked her ass off on it. She is reportedly planning for a sequel.
The book is due out on January 10, 2023, and is available for pre-order now.
