We all love Steve Buscemi – the quirky character actor who’s graced our screens in everything from Fargo to Reservoir Dogs. But according to his rep, Buscemi is the latest victim of random violence in New York City after getting punched in the face!
The 66-year-old actor was attacked Wednesday morning in Midtown Manhattan and wound up at a nearby hospital with a bruised and swollen left eye, along with some bleeding. Thankfully, his rep says Buscemi is doing okay and appreciates the outpouring of support from fans.
A City on Edge
This shocking attack comes as New York grapples with a recent rise in crime. Buscemi isn’t the only celebrity to be targeted – just a few weeks ago, his “Boardwalk Empire” co-star Michael Stuhlbarg was hit in the neck with a rock while walking in Central Park! Thankfully, Stuhlbarg was able to chase down his attacker, who was apprehended by police.
Who Did This?
The NYPD has yet to make any arrests in Buscemi’s case, and the investigation is still ongoing. Here’s hoping they catch the culprit soon!
Sending Love to Buzzy
We’re wishing Steve Buscemi a speedy recovery from this senseless assault. This just goes to show that no one is immune to the dangers of big city life. Stay safe out there, everyone!
