Cher is living proof that age is just a number, especially when it comes to love! The iconic singer, who recently rocked the 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony (looking amazing, might we add!), is happily loved up with her much-younger beau, music producer Alexander “AE” Edwards.
At 77, Cher is defying stereotypes and embracing her May-December romance with the 38-year-old AE. Their nearly 40-year age gap has raised eyebrows, but Cher isn’t fazed one bit. “Love doesn’t know math,” she declared on social media, shutting down the haters.
So why the younger men, you ask? Cher spilled the tea on The Jennifer Hudson Show this week. She admits to being a bit shy, and frankly, men her age just weren’t cutting it. “They’re all dead or terrified to approach me,” Cher joked. “Younger men are bolder, they’re not scared of a strong, funny woman who wants to have a good time!” she added.
This isn’t Cher’s first rodeo with a younger man. She credits them with keeping her dating life alive, because let’s face it, men her age just weren’t feeling it. “Maybe they don’t care about my personality,” Cher mused. Well, Cher, we certainly do! You’re a force to be reckoned with, and we love that you won’t shy away from love just because of a number.
There have been some bumps along the road – engagement rumors swirled after Cher showed off a gorgeous ring from AE, but it turned out to be a false alarm. They even had a brief split in 2023, but like a true power couple, they reconnected and are going stronger than ever.
