Could a Large Scam Trigger Another Selloff?

Could this happen again, or has the influx of investment into Bitcoin since then made it much more difficult for any one (or small group) of players to repeat this? Couldn’t a large hedge fund or multi-billionaire manipulate the Bitcoin price if they really wanted to and spook the market into a selloff?

  1. We had a bit of a struggle a couple of years ago from some Chinese ponzi scam cashout that was dumping over a billion dollars. Started when we had a breakout to $13K, then they kept dumping every time the price rose back above $10K.

Must suck to be them, if they’d hedled until now they would have had more like five billion.
