David Beckham accused of playing the victim card in new Netflix doc about alleged affair with Rebecca Loos

David Beckham is being accused of playing the victim card in his new Netflix doc, “Beckham,” after Rebecca Loos, his former assistant and alleged lover, spoke out about her portrayal in the film.

David Beckham’s alleged mistress Rebecca Loos

“I understand he has an image to preserve, but he is portraying himself as the victim and he’s making me look like a liar, like I’ve made up these stories,” Loos told the Daily Mail. “It’s all, ‘poor me.’ He needs to take responsibility.”

Loos claimed in a bombshell 2004 interview that she and Beckham had been having an affair behind his wife Victoria Beckham’s back. Beckham denied the allegations, but the scandal caused a lot of damage to his marriage.

In the documentary, Beckham speaks about the affair and how it affected his family. He says that Victoria was “hurt” by the allegations and that they had to “fight” for their marriage.

However, Loos feels that Beckham is not being honest about his role in the affair. “He talks in the documentary about this ultimately being his private life, shutting it down,” she said. “I think it’s one thing to keep your private life to yourself. It’s another thing to mislead the public.”

Loos says that she is speaking out now because she feels like she needs to defend herself. She also wants her children to know that she was “brave enough to stand up for the truth.”

The Beckhams have been married for 24 years and have four children together. They have not responded to Loos’s accusations.
