Country queen Dolly Parton is channeling her inner angel, urging fans to forgive Elle King’s wild, whiskey-soaked performance at her 78th birthday bash at the Grand Ole Opry!
Remember that cringe-worthy moment when King slurred her way through a Dolly classic, confessed to being “hammered,” and basically told the audience they were stuck with it? Yeah, that.
But Dolly’s all about grace and understanding. “Elle’s a great artist, a great girl,” she shared in a recent interview. “She’s been through a lot lately, and just had a little too much to drink. Let’s forgive it, forget it, and move on. Trust me, she feels worse than anyone!”
While Dolly’s known for her sass, this forgiveness plea is pure sugar and spice. Unlike the Opry, which apologized for the “language” used (read: F-bombs galore!), Dolly seems focused on Elle’s well-being.
But was it just a bit of bubbly? King’s performance was so rough, the venue pulled the curtain mid-song! And let’s not forget the social media firestorm of “disrespectful” and “unprofessional” comments.
So, will fans take Dolly’s lead and offer forgiveness? Or will King’s birthday blunder leave a permanent stain on her reputation?
