Elon Musk, Jack Dorsey and Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood will be speakers at a bitcoin event.

Bitcoin recovers over $50,000 following Square's $170 million purchase.

The B Word event organizer announced Monday that Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk will be a featured speaker and Square and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and Ark Investment Management (Ark Invest) CEO Cathie Wood. The bitcoin event is scheduled to start at 12 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, July 21. It will feature a live discussion with Musk, Dorsey, and Wood.

Jack Dorsey has been a vocal advocate of bitcoin.

Elon Musk and Dorsey initially agreed to have a discussion about Bitcoin at The ₿ Word event in June. Dorsey tweeted to Musk at the time: “Let’s you and I have a conversation at the event. You can share all your curiosities.” Jack Dorsey has been a very vocal supporter of bitcoin for a long time, unlike Musk, who has on many occasions thrashed bitcoin. Earlier, Tesla announced to accept bitcoin as a payment method only to discontinue within a month.

The event is hosted by the Crypto Council for Innovation.

The event’s website states, “The ₿ Word is a Bitcoin-focused initiative that aims to demystify and destigmatize mainstream narratives about Bitcoin, explain how institutions can embrace it, and raise awareness around areas of the network that need support.” The bitcoin event is being hosted by the Crypto Council for Innovation (CCI), a global alliance of crypto industry leaders. According to the website, the topics of discussion include:

  • Demystifying Bitcoin.
  • Bitcoin as a tool for economic empowerment.
  • Supporting the developer ecosystem.
  • Securing the Bitcoin network.
  • Regulating bitcoin.
  • Preserving the Bitcoin ethos.

Speaking at the ongoing Bitcoin 2021 Conference, Dorsey said that Bitcoin is probably the single most important thing to work on in his lifetime.
