Elon Musk Unfollows Grimes on X After She Goes Insta-Official with New Beau

Is Elon Musk back to his old tricks? The drama continues between the tech billionaire and his ex, singer Grimes (real name Claire Boucher), after Musk apparently hit the unfollow button on X (formerly known as Twitter) recently.

Keeping Up With the Unfollows: This social media shade was caught by the ever-watchful bot account @BigTechAlert. According to them, Musk unfollowed Grimes sometime between March 23rd and 24th. Interestingly enough, this coincides perfectly with Grimes going public with her new boyfriend, DJ Matteo “Anyma” Milleri, on Instagram on March 23rd.

Following Feel-Good Vibes: While giving Grimes the cold shoulder online, Musk also started following an account called @healyourdepress. This account dispenses positive vibes, promising to “heal your anxiety or depression” according to its bio.

“Spicy!” The internet, of course, had a field day! X users flooded the @BigTechAlert comments with their takes on the situation. One user called it “Spicy,” while another offered a more somber “Love hurts sometimes.”

Demon Mode Incoming? Some users foresaw a potential meltdown on Musk’s part. One netizen commented, “Bros about to enter demon mode,” possibly referencing a comment Grimes made to Musk’s biographer about his tendency to act with a “lack of empathy” during these episodes.

History Repeating? This isn’t Musk’s first rodeo when it comes to unfollowing Grimes. The SpaceX CEO has repeatedly hit the unfollow button on the singer throughout their on-again, off-again relationship, which lasted from 2018 to 2022.

Healthy Boundaries or Social Media Spats? While the move might seem petty, experts generally advise unfollowing exes for the sake of moving on. Tweeting nasty memes about your ex’s new partner, however, is definitely not recommended! Honestly, it’s surprising either of them were still following each other considering their ongoing custody battle.

Will They, Won’t They? Knowing Musk’s unpredictable social media habits, a future re-follow wouldn’t be entirely shocking. One thing’s for sure, this saga is far from over!
