In a sensational turn of events, former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer and Lindsey Hill, the woman who accused him of sexual assault, have settled their civil lawsuits out of court. Surprisingly, no monetary exchange took place between the two parties. However, Bauer has come forward with what he claims are crucial pieces of evidence, suggesting an attempted extortion by Hill.
In a video shared on social media, Bauer unveils a series of text messages he alleges were exchanged between Hill and her acquaintances. These messages, according to Bauer, serve as compelling evidence of a calculated plan to extort him. Shockingly, one of Hill’s alleged messages reads, “Need daddy to choke me out,” while another says, “Being an absolute WHORE to try to get in on his $51 million.”
Bauer had initiated a defamation lawsuit against Hill in April 2022, to which she responded with a sexual battery countersuit four months later. Although court proceedings were slated to commence in February, both parties opted to drop their respective cases.
As part of the settlement, Hill is set to receive $300,000 from insurance policy proceeds, which will be directed to a trust account managed by her legal representation.
Hill initially accused Bauer of sexual assault during two encounters in the spring of 2021. However, she was denied a permanent restraining order by the Los Angeles Superior Court, and the district attorney’s office chose not to pursue criminal charges against Bauer. Despite this, MLB took the unprecedented step of imposing a 324-game suspension on the athlete.
In a statement issued by Bauer’s attorneys, Jon Fetterolf and Shawn Holley, they confirmed that all litigation between Bauer and Hill has been conclusively resolved. They emphasized that no payments were made by Mr. Bauer to Ms. Hill as part of the settlement, allowing Bauer to redirect his focus entirely towards his baseball career.
Furthermore, in a YouTube video, Bauer alleged that Hill’s legal team had approached him on numerous occasions regarding a financial settlement, all of which his side consistently declined. He also asserted that the defamation lawsuit led to the discovery of additional cell phone material that had been allegedly withheld from his lawyers. Notably, this included a video purportedly showing Hill “lying in bed next to me while I’m sleeping, smirking at the camera without a care in the world — or any mark on her face” on the morning after the second alleged incident.
Reflecting on the turbulent two years, Bauer expressed his desire to put the ordeal behind him and concentrate on his profession, bringing an end to this chapter of his life.
