  1. For americans: if you got enticed by the way nbatopshot has started to gain traction, this is similar. the integration is probably less seamless than the nbas, but they already have major football clubs (each with hundreds and millions of fans).

If the clubs can get the participation game going every fan is going to want some tokens. You can have a look at the socios app and get a feeling for what kind of decisions are tested out – to the non fan they sound ridiculous, but clearly the fans are loving it.

so instead of just buying moments (i dont think they have that) this is more about interacting and engaging with fans. the major clubs already have their own apps because they got sick and tired of paying through the nose for facebook.

combine this with new approaches like Spencer Dinwiddie’s Calaxy, think about celebs like the Kardashians and how crazy their fans are and you get the picture.

Single celebs will go the route of direct ntf. Clubs / Sports will go the route of apps like nbatopshots and socios.

    Anybody know similar projects?

  2. tldr; Chiliz, a Malta-based platform providing fan tokens in partnership with sports clubs, plans to spend $50 million on an expansion in the US. The company will be opening a new office in New York and launch fan tokens for U.S. sports leagues, CEO Alexandre Dreyfus said. Chiliz has so far partnered with 23 sporting and eSports organizations, including top soccer clubs.
