Former NBA star Trevor Ariza and his ex-wife Bree Anderson have reached a divorce settlement, just weeks after Ariza revealed that his savings have been depleted since retiring from the NBA.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, the parties reached a settlement as to all issues. The court order stated, “Judgment of Dissolution is granted on the terms and conditions set forth in the Settlement Agreement filed on this date.”
Ariza and Anderson’s requests for permanent restraining orders were both dismissed, and Anderson’s temporary restraining order was dissolved.
Anderson had obtained a temporary restraining order against Ariza in February after claiming she was “constantly worried.” She alleged that the ex-NBA star showed up unannounced at her home and threatened to change the locks and leave her homeless if she didn’t obey his rules.
In her petition, Anderson also claimed that Ariza had physically abused her in August 2021 and February 2020. Ariza denied the allegations, claiming that Anderson was the abusive one during the relationship.
The exes share two minor children. In her divorce petition, Anderson demanded $60k per month in child and spousal support. Ariza opposed the amount and claimed his savings had been “depleted” since he left the NBA in 2022.
The terms of the settlement agreement are confidential, but it is unclear how much child and spousal support Ariza will be required to pay. However, given his previous earnings and the fact that he has two minor children, it is likely that the amount will be significant.
The settlement agreement is a welcome relief for both Ariza and Anderson, who have been embroiled in a bitter divorce battle for over a year. It will allow them to move on with their lives and focus on their children.
