  1. Personally I don’t pay them people any attention. People are going to bitch about anything now days, if they was really concerned they’d of canceled their internet by now lol!

  2. Funny enough, the New York Times uses the same cherry picked statistics from the article I read four days ago that inspired this post. There’s a lot of good stuff in the comments about how the media interacts with Bitcoin and how the environmental impacts are overblown, so give it a read if curious.

  3. It definitely is not occurring to people that bitcoin could wind up spurring innovation, allowing power plants to get going and start returning ROI on capital invested as soon as you can get miners using it.

    Then later, you can get more ROI connecting your solar power plant to the grid, and get those electrons to market with higher-paying non-bitcoinminer customers.

    I think if sunlight falls on a solar grid in the Sahara that’s a win-win
