Grimes Suing Elon Musk for Parental Rights and Custody

Grimes and Musk began dating in 2018 and had a rocky relationship until they broke up for good in September 2021. They share a son named X Æ A-Xii, who was born in May 2020, and a daughter named Exa Dark Sideræl, who was born in December 2021 via surrogate. In September 2022, it was revealed that Grimes had secretly given birth to a third child with Musk, a son named Techno Mechanicus.

Grimes has not yet publicly commented on the lawsuit, but she has hinted at her struggles in recent weeks. In a now-deleted tweet, she wrote, “Tell Shivon to unblock me and tell Elon to let me see my son or plz respond to my lawyer.” Shivon Zilis is a Neuralink executive who reportedly had twins with Musk in November 2021.

It is unclear why Grimes is suing Musk for parental rights and custody. It is possible that they have been unable to agree on a custody agreement, or that Grimes is concerned about Musk’s ability to parent their children. Musk has a busy schedule and is known for his erratic behavior.

The lawsuit is ongoing, and it is unclear when it will be resolved. In the meantime, Grimes and Musk will need to work together to make decisions about the care of their children.
