How much energy does Bitcoin consume?

The energy consumption argument might be one of the last from the controlled media has. As a counter argument, I wonder how much “energy” all those banks, both private and central use on a daily basis? I’m pretty confident bitcoin is a drop in the bucket compared to those glass towers and drones of bankers at computers running their own inefficient ledger. It would probably be greener to shutdown the current archaic banking system. I mean… It’s only best for the future of the planet.

  1. Use the search bar. You are not saying anything new. Bank ledgers are very efficient BTW. You can’t shut down banking system because bitcoin does not provide any banking services at all.
