  1. *TL;DR I’m back into Bitcoin and hoping to create Bitcoin-only hobby projects without the usual noise in the crypto space.*

Hi everyone 👋 after a 9 year hiatus on Bitcoin, I just got back into it early this year (since inflation and sanctions really screwed me over).

As a Software Developer I’m delighted and amazed at how much information, resources, videos and books there are now and have been happily devouring content.

**But at the same time I am freaking out over how much noise there is now (and part of the reason I avoided all the “crypto space” like the plague all these years).**

Out of frustration on how most converters are either buggy, full of ads or just not focused on bitcoin, I created [btc2fiat.me](https://btc2fiat.me), a lightweight (<30kb, plain HTML and JS), ad-free, open-source converter. It’s free to use and I hope a fresh newbie in the scene can help the bitcoin community.

Feedback is welcome here or on Github. Euro and other fiat currencies are also planned over the next few weeks.

I don’t use social media much and I’ve been living under a cave, so any tips on where to share it are welcome. Cheers! Be gentle 🙈
