  1. Yes, the price of BTC was much lower years ago…we get it. Even if you spent BTC in the past does not mean that you could not easily buy more for the same price back then if you wanted.

Actually utilizing BTC in real-life situations even if the value may go up in the future is an important part of adoption.

  2. Is anyone else so over seeing “X spent in X year”

Does anyone care other than the OP of the video?

Sweet you spent bitcoin years ago when its price was lower wow amazing so sad I feel so ba.. Stfu.

  3. Isn’t this why Bitcoin will never become a proper currency? Cos everyone will be petrified of spending it?

(Yes I know you can pay with Bitcoin then immediately top up with fiat – but if you do that why not just cut out the middle man and pay with fiat straight away?)

  4. If we want crypto to be adopted as an actually used currency, you will need to look at it as a means of transacting, rather than as an investment that will grow over time.

People who were spending their BTC eight years ago for food were simply treating it as a currency, the way it’s meant to be used.

  5. I don’t know why people make stories like this a bad thing.

If people didn’t trade Bitcoins it would have never really went up in value or am I missing something.

  6. An apartment building here in Jersey City, NJ sold for $10,000,000 worth of BTC in 2015 I think when it was $1000 ea. So many people called the guy who sold it Stupid. Nah, the guy was rich to begin with, he knew exactly what he was doing, and so many people called the guy who bought it delusional for believing in BTC. Well that same guy who bought the building dumped over $1,000,000 into XRP when it was $0.005ea, and was all over Antshares(Neo) when it was $1. So. Those two guys are stupid rich now.
