Janet Jackson is being sued by a debt collection company for $238,593.88 in unpaid fees owed to her former business managers.
The company, Creditors Adjustment Bureau, claims that Jackson failed to pay the firm Nigro Karlin Segal Feldstein & Bolno in February 2021. The debt was then assigned to Creditors Adjustment Bureau, which filed the lawsuit to collect.
Jackson’s lawyers have denied the allegations, claiming that the debt was resolved years ago due to errors in Jackson’s account. They also argue that the claim is past the statute of limitations.
However, Creditors Adjustment Bureau claims that Jackson has been served with the lawsuit and should respond in court. The company has objected to Jackson’s request for additional time to respond, arguing that she has had more than sufficient time to do so.
