  1. Ugh, the fact that no one in the media pushes back on this nonsense is the worst part. This administration counts on the media to do the heavy lifting for them with the underreporting, omitting of facts and the absence of real journalism.

  4. Lol. Something that would actually help reduce inflation would removing or reducing the tariffs from China that Americans are actually paying. Between duties and tariffs I pay 45% and you can bet I pass every penny of that on to my customers like pretty much every other business is doing.

The supply chain issues and the fact that freight is up 4X, and tariffs are charged on the freight as well, and you see where a big amount of inflation could be cut.

Before someone says “then don’t manufacture in China”, it’s worth understanding that a vast majority of brands around the world do not manufacture themselves but rely on manufacturers who are expert at what they do. We’ve been trying to move production from China to the US for 3 years now and cannot find US factories with available capacity, regardless of price. My customers have told me they’d pay 25% more for an American made version but until there’s suitable factory capacity in the US then we, like many others, simple cannot move production home.

So the tariffs, that American consumers ultimately pay, are supposed to be an incentive for brands to build at home, except that most simply cannot do that. The tariffs are stupid if there’s no factories in the US and are only contributing to the inflation of the past few years.

  5. tldr; Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said Friday that President Joe Biden’s proposed $2.8 trillion in infrastructure spending will not drive up inflation. “It will boost the economy’s potential to grow, which tends to push inflation down, not up,” she said. “For many American families experiencing inflation, seeing the prices of gas and other things that they buy rise, what this package will do is lower some of the most important costs,” she added.

  6. It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.

The eyeless crature at the other table swallowed it fanatically, passionately, with a furious desire to track down, denounce, and vaporize anyone who should suggest that last week the ration had been thirty grams. Syme, too-in some more double complex way, involving doublethink-Syme, swallow it. Was he, then, alone in the possession of a memory?

Indian pay $3.5 Billion to banks every year as “foreign exchange fees”. This is just banks ripping people off to send money across border. Crypto will destroy this income stream, thats why Indian banks are trying their best to limit people from accessing crypto
