Jonathan Majors and his girlfriend, Meagan Good, made a loved-up appearance at the 7th annual AAFCA Special Achievement Awards luncheon in L.A., marking Majors’ first red carpet since his recent legal troubles.
The couple, who have been dating since May 2023, walked the carpet together and spoke about the significance of the event, which celebrates Black excellence in film.
“It is important to celebrate Black entertainers,” Good emphasized, “people who are bringing their unique view, unique way of sharing, of storytelling.”
Majors echoed her sentiment, adding, “We make beautiful art and the contribution that’s made to the film landscape is grown by the contributions of many of the people in this room. We are happy to be here.”
The interview took a personal turn when the couple was asked how they were doing. Majors, with a smile, simply stated, “In love… We’re doing good, thanks for asking.” Good chimed in, adding, “We’re doing great. God’s good.”
Their public display of affection comes amidst Majors’ ongoing legal case. He was found guilty of misdemeanor assault and harassment in December, stemming from an incident last year. He is scheduled to be sentenced in April.
While it’s unclear how the legal situation will unfold, one thing seems certain: Majors and Good are presenting a united front, both on the red carpet and, according to their own words, in their personal lives.
