From Actress to Designer
As Chopard’s global ambassador, Roberts took her role a step further, co-designing a collection of dazzling emerald pieces. These beauties were cut from a single, incredible 6,225-carat Insofu Emerald! Talk about a showstopper!
A Match Made in Bling Heaven
Working with Chopard’s co-president and artistic director Caroline Scheufele was a dream come true for Roberts. “I feel like I’ve come up the ranks a little bit,” she quipped, crediting Scheufele for her expertise. “Just to be included…was so beautiful and fun,” she gushed.
Wearing Her Own Creation with Pride
The dinner party turned into a runway moment for Roberts as she sported the new Chopard necklace she helped design. “This is what we came up with,” she beamed. “It’s always great to put on beautiful jewelry, but tonight I was quite excited.”
A Touch of Hollywood History
Roberts revealed her love for jewelry was inspired by the legendary Elizabeth Taylor. “The first time anybody sees Elizabeth Taylor, you kind of go, ‘Wow, that’s amazing,'” she reminisced. “Of course, you can appreciate the craftsmanship and the dazzle…it’s so magical.”
Mom and Daughter Style Swap
While emeralds might be Julia’s current obsession, her college-aged daughter Hazel has a different vibe. “She’s more bohemian in her aesthetic,” Roberts shared. But that doesn’t mean she’s off-limits from borrowing a piece (or two) from mom’s dazzling collection! “She can, yeah!” Julia confirmed with a laugh.

The night wasn’t just about work for Roberts. She also mentioned her husband Danny recently wrapped a movie, and they were looking forward to a romantic car ride home together. Now that’s a Hollywood ending we can all get behind!
