Singer Kelly Price has come forward to support Teyana Taylor in the midst of rumors surrounding her husband, Iman Shumpert, allegedly cheating on her.
Recent reports have suggested that a woman, purportedly an artist under Shumpert, was spotted in close proximity to him outside a studio, even wearing his chain. However, the woman in question has denied the allegations.
Addressing the situation, Kelly Price expressed her empathy for Teyana Taylor and voiced her frustration over the treatment of wives in such circumstances. She emphasized the importance of supporting Black families and defended Taylor’s right to stand up for her own.
“Teyana is not a side piece, she’s not a side hoe, she’s a wife. I went through it, but this is not about me,” said Kelly. “If anything is worth fighting for, it is your family, and especially if it can be saved. I just don’t understand why wives get attacked so bad and side b****es get praised.”
Kelly also praised Teyana’s talents and beauty, questioning why the focus is on criticism rather than support. She urged for a balance of accountability and advocacy for Black men.
“Why go after her? Why say she’s dependent, why say she’s one of these d*mb Black women that’s going to always fight for Black men no matter what the hell they’re doing? Isn’t that what we’re supposed to be doing?” Kelly questioned.
In conclusion, Kelly Price emphasized the challenges that Black men face in the world and the need for collective support and understanding within the community
