Kristen Stewart has opened up about her spooky encounter with a ghost while filming the 2007 movie The Messengers in Regina, Saskatchewan.
The actress was just 15 years old at the time and was staying at a “very old” hotel with her mother. She told the podcast Ghosted that she first noticed something was off when she saw a water bottle fall over. She would have normally thought the cat that had been staying with her was behind it all, but then she found out the cat was sleeping the entire time at her feet.
“And then all of a sudden I felt like my legs had been kind of pushed down. ‘Cause they were up — like, my knees were up,” Stewart said on the podcast.
She then said she sat up, opened her eyes, and spotted a lady floating above her.
“So it made me open my eyes, and when I opened my eyes, it was a lady in colonial garb,” Stewart said. “There was a lady in old-school clothes, with darkened features and rollers in her hair, and sort of looming over my bed, as high as the top of the drapery. I couldn’t make a sound for a very long time.”
Stewart is adamant that she did indeed spot a ghost, but her close ones never believed her.
The actress’s story has sent a chill down the spines of many Twilight fans, as she is known for her role as Bella Swan, a teenage girl who falls in love with a vampire. It’s unclear whether Stewart’s ghost encounter had anything to do with her role in Twilight, but it’s definitely a creepy coincidence!
Stewart recently created a new show called Living for the Dead, which debuted on Disney Plus last week. The show follows a group of friends who start a ghost hunting business. It’s unclear whether Stewart’s own ghost encounter inspired her to create the show, but it’s definitely an interesting coincidence!
