In a candid conversation for Interview magazine, Kylie Jenner and Jennifer Lawrence addressed the persistent rumors that they’ve both gone under the knife. Turns out, the secret to their ever-changing looks might just be in their makeup bags.
Lawrence, who has been the subject of speculation about her eyelids, revealed that her new makeup artist, Hung Vanngo, is the mastermind behind her recent transformation. “I’m like, ‘I didn’t have eye surgery. I’m doing makeup,'” she explained.
Jenner, on the other hand, admitted to getting lip fillers but insisted that’s where her cosmetic enhancements end. “I’ll see before and after photos when I’m 12 years old versus 26 and my eyebrows are filled differently. I have contour on. I’m like, ‘How can you compare my 12-year-old face and say I’ve gotten my jaw shaved and eyelids removed?'” she said.
Both stars also spoke about the pressure to look perfect in the spotlight. “I’ve seen comments online about me having full plastic surgery,” Lawrence shared. “It’s really hurtful. It’s like, ‘What are we talking about?'”
Jenner chimed in, adding, “I’ve always wanted everyone to just love themselves. I feel like I’m in a better place now, but other people can instill insecurities in you.”
In a refreshing turn, the two celebrities bonded over their shared experiences and encouraged everyone to embrace their natural beauty. “It’s incredible what makeup can do,” Jenner concluded. “But it’s also important to remember that we’re all beautiful in our own skin.”
