there should be a bitcoin mine at every flaring site in the country. the fact that there isn’t already, is a shame. it’s a win for miners, a win for the oil companies, *and* a win for environmentalists—how often does that happen?
I think this is a great idea, but the gas will still be burned right? The emissions will still be emitted right? But instead of wasting that energy, we put it to work.
I’m totally for this. Totally for BTC. Just curious if I’m missing something.

I love how they equate “generating profit” with “reducing emissions”.
This literally doesn’t reduce emissions even 1%.

How does that reduce emissions? It’s getting burned either way. One way just harnesses the energy for mining the other dumps it.

Call me crazy but it seems like a good game plan to tank the price then flip the media narrative while its down/falling. Then once ppl buy in they drop it hard to shake them before letting it hit its next stock to flow price.
