  1. That post is pure misinformation, I saw this comment there debunking it (but downvoted):

    > This post is full of lies, **”Bitcoin wealth concentration”** is the debunked [FUD of the season](https://preview.redd.it/ov3voynebvv71.png?width=2568&format=png&auto=webp&s=5b4990deb50aa1f198a32fd36fd8196a86e68e3a), alternating/cycling with the China FUD, energy FUD, regulation FUD, mining FUD, etc.

  2. It just means we’re still early. Once institutions have enough you’ll start seeing more positive threads/blogs and these same ppl will start telling you how it’s fixed now and is actually good.

  3. It‘s ok. They’re gonna change their minds when the TV tells them to change their mind. As with any others issue there exists out there 90% of people cannot think for themselves and just eat up whatever they’re told. Once the banks have filled their bags they’re gonna start unloading onto them.

Everyone gets the BTC price they deserve

  4. Just shows how early we are. Saw one comment saying Bitcoin can easily be changed to not be decentralized by the big holders and could possiblely be bribed by people like “Michael saylor”… with lots of upvotes….🤣🤣 friendly reminder that just popular doesn’t always mean right

  5. We’re now at a point where there’s an amazing library of books, articles, videos, podcasts and discussion forums out there which answer every conceivable question one might have about Bitcoin. These are all freely available to anyone who chooses to go looking.

The only barrier to entry these days is laziness. If people want to dump hard on something before bothering to learn even the basics, more fool them I suppose. It just means more sats for the rest of us.

  6. Mainstream reddit LOL

It’s just the general population: stupid in general.

30 years ago there was a platform filter where generally nerds were the only ones online.

Now anyone is online and they think their opinions matter

  7. I bet this 2% being quoted includes the Satoshi millions from his early days of mining.

It’s been almost 10 years and none of these coins were spent, and the odds are more than good that most likely Satoshi is either dead or has no ability/intentions of spending these coins.

  8. How do you think hedgefunds make profit? Open up short positions (for those of you that lend out your stash, this is where it goes to), push a hit piece, drive the price down, and profit. Rinse and repeat. Uneducated users will be parted from their stash. Long term hodlers will continue with their lives.

  9. lol /r/technology had an anti-crypto article posted and all the crypto experts of reddit came out to regurgitate every argument already debunked time and time again. “At least with GOLD you have something you can hold in your hands, man!” Oh my favorite “Bitcoin depends on internet and when internet goes down bitcoin fails!” as if the world is on the verge of being plunged back into the dark ages at any moment. I’m sure they’ll have all kinds of gold when that happens.

They’ll be who pushes bitcoin into the millions per coin range some day. Don’t worry.

  10. Plebs: Bitcoin is a drug money Ponzi scam.

People who manage assets: DYOR and invest.

Plebs: See? Bitcoin is concentrated in the hands of the few! So much for decentralisation!

  11. The main subreddits in the default front page are taken over by left wing extremists. You can see for example r/science has more studies about politics of the kind “Trump supporters have lower iq” than actual science with hard sciences.

r/technology had daily UBI supporting articles.

    r/antiwork is featured daily

Makes sense that it is like so, only losers sucking from our tax money have time to rant on reddit all day on how bad capitalism is.

  12. This article is a summary of this [Bloomberg article](https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-10-25/bitcoin-still-concentrated-in-few-hands-study-finds).. and that Bloomberg article is derived from the [NBER document](https://www.nber.org/system/files/working_papers/w29396/w29396.pdf). (**PDF-alert**).

If you read the document which is made by the NBER, you can find out what the nuances are. As always, **never trust** media or corporations who are created to make money. Techspot and Bloomberg are businesses. The sell news. So there will be an incentive to lure you to their page or make their news go viral. Exposure on Reddit is just a (BIG) part of their strategy.

Nobody knows what BTC is going to do in the future. So just do what YOU want to do. Can whales manipulate the price? I think they can. But to me, that makes no difference. I HODL since 2017. I *”lost”* thousands of dollars and *”gained”* even more. But 1 BTC will always be 1 BTC.

And if 1 BTC equals $0.00? Then I enjoyed the ride. Because **I** believe that will never happen.

  13. I had to go to that post and throw some shade. What a bunch of self righteous know*it*alls. Bitcoin is the future and those people are so deeply attached to this legacy system of power and control that even in the face of a tidal wave, they will still stand their and proclame “there is no wave”.
