Britney Spears’ ex, Sam Asghari, is spilling the tea on their short-lived marriage, but in a surprisingly mature and drama-free way!
Speaking to People magazine, the 29-year-old model and actor took the high road, calling their time together “a blessing” despite ending in divorce.
“People grow apart and people move on,” Asghari said, seemingly aiming for an amicable split. He even expressed his distaste for exes who badmouth each other, stating, “I never understood when people part ways [and] talk badly about each other.”
While he initiated the divorce, Asghari acknowledges the significance of their time together, saying, “It’s always going to be part of my life, a chapter of my life.”

But it’s not all reminiscing for Asghari! He’s turning 30 this Sunday and recently shed an impressive 40 pounds!
“I used to think people that were 30 years old were so old,” he jokes, “but with age comes wisdom and experiences.”
Looks like Asghari is embracing his new chapter with a positive outlook and a commitment to self-improvement. We’ll have to see what the future holds for this newly single (and newly fit) star!
