Orianne Cevey Is Auctioning Off Some Of Phil Collins’ Gold Records And Awards

If you close your eyes and listen very carefully, you can hear a dull thudding noise coming from the west. That’s Andy Cohen kicking himself for not having signed Orianne Cevey, Phil Collins’ outrageous ex-wife, sooner to star in a planned reboot of Real Housewives of Miami. He waited too long and now Orianne is out here burning through one delicious plot line after another with nary a camera to record all the drama. Page Six reports that Orianne’s latest FU to Phil has her auctioning off some of his gold records and awards for a song because they “no longer spark joy.” Also no longer sparking joy— 5,000 pairs of shoes. Andy must be livid. That’s some Real Housewives of Despotic Kleptocrats shit right there, AKA the franchise that got away.

According to Page Six:

Cevey — who has been going through a long series of bitter legal proceedings with the pop icon over his multimillion-dollar Miami manse — is auctioning off a number of items that no longer “spark joy” — including Collins’ gold records for just $100.

Last year the 69-year-old “Sussudio” singer su-sued to evict Cevey and her current husband, Thomas Bates, from the property.

Can Page Six be su-sued for that sweaty pun? AFAF. The auction is being conducted by Kodner Galleries in Miami and the items listed include a lot of “Assorted Phil Collins Awards” with a starting price of $100. Phil related items also include “a gold record of Robert Plant’s ‘The Principle of Moments,’ which was presented to Collins because it was released by his label, Es Paranza,” also listed at $100. I’d call it a steal, but I have to assume Konder must have vetted these items before agreeing to the sale. The Daily Mail reports:

The auction states that 10 per cent of the proceeds from some items, including the Collins’ memorabilia, will be donated to the Never Give Up Foundation for help for children and adults with spinal cord injuries as a result of accidents or medical problems.

The charity was founded by Mr Cevey and Collins, who suffers severe pain because of a spinal injury caused by drumming.

Back in October, Orianne agreed to vacate Phil’s $40 million Miami mansion by January 21 as part of a settlement agreement. Orianne had been squatting at the house with her new husband Thomas Bates, claiming Phil, from whom she had been divorced since 2006, had gifted her a 50% stake in the house citing a verbal agreement made when they reunited in 2016 while she was still married to a man named Charles Mejjati. Vanity Fair adds that the possibility of certain items in the house walking away all by themselves was brought up at the time the agreement to vacate was struck.

A large part of the hearing was used to discuss the removal of Collins’s valuables from the home which he claims are in “substantial risk,” including jewelry, memorabilia, unpublished music, and collection of items from the Battle of the Alamo said to be worth $15 million—a portion of which have already been donated to a San Antonio museum. Both parties agreed to have the items removed and put in storage until their case is decided.

So nobody is saying she stole any of Phil’s stuff, just that we shouldn’t put it past her. According to a statement from her rep, Orianne’s housekeeping isn’t financially motivated, it’s because she’s downsizing. So more of a petty purge, if you will. (via Page Six)

A rep tells us, “She is moving to a smaller home and getting rid of some of her clothing and jewelry that she no longer wears … I mean after all, she does have 5,000 pairs of shoes alone and only two feet — she can’t wear them all!”

Adding, “Orianne found organizing the move very cathartic and went very Marie Kondo and got rid of a number of items that no longer sparked joy for her.”

Cevey is also selling off a number of Chanel bags and clothes, an array of pricey lavish diamond jewels, high-end sneakers, and several Rolex watches. More unusual items include a vintage stamp collection for $50, a carved skull necklace and an unset 10.35 carat diamond for $600k to $800k.

I’m sure Goodwill would have happily taken those items off her hands for her. I mean, she did get $47 million off of Phil in their divorce settlement (per VF), but I guess it might be hard to get all those boxes of shoes and jewels packed into her new Bentley.
