  1. tldr; Binance’s smart-contract blockchain BSC processed a record number of transactions on Wednesday. BSC surpassed Ethereum in daily transaction volume and unique active wallets in the first quarter. The average Ethereum transaction fee soared to $38 in late February and stood at $28 on Wednesday, according to Glassnode.

  2. Key points, IMO:

    >“The fact that BSC and PancakeSwap’s daily volumes now regularly exceed that of Ethereum-based Uniswap’s volumes shows that cheap transactions and scaling matter,” Denis Vinokourov, head of research at trading sentiment data provider Trade the Chain, said. “Capital is not the issue; there’s plenty of it.”
    .
    >“to normies is infinitely better on BSC when compared to ETH. Hard to switch unless there’s a big pull (better projects / more gains) or a big push (BSC breaks),”

I swore a saw a paragraph about Ethereum’s size hurting it relative to its gas fees. Perhaps removed with an update.

Regardless, I’ve read comments about BSC being centralized and ETH being decentralized. Like ETH is more pure or better than the BSC.
Cool. Isn’t this also true of Linux vs MacOS/Win? Linux is superior but MacOS and Win are actually useful for the common masses.

What’s to stop ETH from being the Linux or crypto smart contract chains and BSC the MacOS of it?

And which will ‘win’? Or will it even matter? MacOS/Win/Linux all coexist in different ways … I mean hell, I started with Apple DOS->MacOS 6 … OSX -> Win10 cuz games.
But if you’re in crypto as an investment, there’s definitely going to be a more-winner and less-winner. So how viable is ETH compared to BSC when one is scaling and exploding with low fees and the other seemingly being burdened by its success and high gas fees.
Yeah, I’ve heard BSC is a copy and paste of ETH, maybe how Windows was a copy of MacOS. Will the common/retail consumer care?

\full disclosure; mostly own ETH/ERC20s, no BSC

    *edit
Is this basically just a repeat of the Win-MacOS/Linux-Everything fanboi rivalry of old? Except there’s an investment on the line now. And how will *that* change things.
