Manchester United star Marcus Rashford was spotted partying at a nightclub until the early hours of Monday morning, just hours after his team’s emphatic 3-0 derby defeat to Manchester City.
The England forward was seen at the popular Chinawhite nightspot in Manchester city centre, where he is understood to have attended a birthday celebration arranged by close friends.
Rashford reportedly left the club sometime after midnight, but still managed to report on time for training on Monday morning.
However, his late-night celebrations are unlikely to go down well with United fans, who are already frustrated by the team’s dismal start to the season.
United have now lost five of their opening 10 Premier League matches, and are already eight points behind fourth place.
Rashford himself has also been struggling for form, having managed just one goal in 13 appearances this season.
The 26-year-old has looked a shadow of the player who scored 30 times last term, and his latest antics are sure to raise further questions about his commitment to the club.
It is unclear what view United manager Erik ten Hag takes of Rashford’s late-night outing, but he is known for having strict disciplinary standards.
The incident comes at a time when both player and club are struggling on the pitch, and it will be interesting to see whether Ten Hag takes any action against Rashford.
United face Newcastle in the Carabao Cup fourth round on Wednesday, before travelling to Craven Cottage to play Fulham in the Premier League three days later.
Ten Hag is under increasing pressure to turn things around at Old Trafford, and he will be hoping that Rashford can start to perform to the best of his ability again soon.
