The Great Photoshop Caper

The whole shenanigan revolved around the recent controversy surrounding Kate Middleton’s edited Mother’s Day photo. Remember that whole debacle? Yeah, well, Josh & Archie decided to take things a step further.

Meet the Fake Insider

They cooked up a story involving a “fired Kensington Palace insider” who supposedly spilled the beans on the editing mishap. Enter Archie Manners, who donned the disguise of this fictional ex-employee.

Fake Docs, Big Laughs

To make things extra convincing, the duo even whipped up fake employment records from the Palace, complete with a hilarious clause about the royal family having the right to…well, let’s just say it wouldn’t be a pleasant experience for the “whistleblower” if he messed up!

Carlson Takes the Bait

With their elaborate scheme in place, Josh & Archie contacted Carlson’s team and secured an interview for Manners (as the “insider”) to spill the alleged “tea” on the photo editing. Carlson, seemingly convinced of Manners’ legitimacy, even went on record saying, “We’ve done our best to verify that your identity is what you say it is.”

Mission Accomplished (But Not Really)

Carlson was apparently so impressed with the interview that he planned to air it on his streaming show. However, before things got too real, Josh & Archie decided to come clean.

Why the Confession?

They didn’t want their prank to fuel more fake news, especially not to Carlson’s massive audience. As Manners explained, “We didn’t want to cause any more rumors…to go out to lots and lots of people.”

A Lesson Learned

This whole incident is a wild ride, but it also highlights how easily fooled we can be in the digital age. So, the next time you see a juicy royal story online, remember – it might just be a prankster with a YouTube channel!
