Action hero Sylvester Stallone is facing a firestorm of controversy after accusations surfaced that he DISRESPECTED background actors on the set of his new Paramount+ series, Tulsa King!
Here’s the Shocking Tea:
- A 53-year-old Tennessee man, Thomas Mooneyham, claims he overheard Stallone and the director making fun of extras, calling them things like “tub of lard” and “ugly.”
- Mooneyham, who uses a cane due to a knee injury, says he specifically felt targeted because Stallone kept glancing at him and then he was replaced in a scene with a younger actor.
- This alleged incident led to the resignation of the casting company hired for the show’s second season!
Got this disturbing news from my Atlanta friend who’s background on Tulsa King this wk. Casting agent quit because she was so disgusted. My friend is feeling anxious about working now. @TheSlyStallone what do you have to say for yourself, sir? Beyond disappointed, I’m livid. pic.twitter.com/EYEuiaWtkf

But Wait, There’s More!
- Stallone and the director, Craig Zisk, are both denying the claims. Zisk says the casting company just didn’t deliver the right extras for a specific scene.
- Mooneyham insists the scene wasn’t supposed to be a “young hipster bar” like Zisk claims, but a “roughneck cowboy” bar where his character would totally fit in! (Plus, his cane wasn’t even visible!)
- Mooneyham, a big fan of the show, feels hurt and angry, especially considering Stallone himself is pushing 80!
Modern Star Trek is a dumpster fire & everyone knows it. Tulsa King's success makes Modern Trek's failures even more stark.
Now, Star Trek: Prodigy writer Julie Benson conveniently gets messages that Stallone said an extra was fugly & he wants to see pretty girls.

Is Sly Turning Into a Supervillain Off-Screen? ♂️
This controversy is definitely putting a stain on Stallone’s image. Fans are wondering:
- Is this an isolated incident or a pattern of disrespect?
- Is ageism a real problem in Hollywood?
- Should Stallone apologize?
Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story!
