Katie Holmes’ daughter Suri Cruise is all grown up and making waves on her own terms – and that apparently means leaving dad Tom Cruise out of the picture!
The 18-year-up-and-coming starlet has been following in her famous parents’ footsteps with recent acting gigs, but with a twist. Suri isn’t using the Cruise family name professionally!
Shining on Stage
Eagle-eyed fans spotted Suri on stage in a local theater production of the quirky musical “Head Over Heels,” and playbills revealed she goes by “Suri Noelle” instead of “Suri Cruise.” This isn’t the first time she’s used her middle name, and it has fans buzzing!
Striking Out on Her Own
Suri rocked the role of Philoclea, the king’s daughter, and by all accounts, she was a natural! This move to distance herself from the Hollywood “Cruise” name could signal two things: a desire to forge her own identity separate from her famous parents, and potentially, a strained relationship with dad Tom.
Estranged from Dad?
Reports suggest Suri and Tom have been estranged since Katie Holmes filed for divorce in 2012. Suri reportedly wants to pursue a career in music or fashion after college, but with her talent on stage, acting could definitely be in the cards too!
