Massachusetts was rocked by a series of chilling stabbing incidents over the weekend, leaving six people injured and a suspect, Jared Ravizza, behind bars. The horrifying attacks unfolded in separate but seemingly connected locations, causing panic and fear among residents.
Movie Theater Horror: Four Young Girls Attacked
The nightmare began at an AMC movie theater in Braintree around 6 p.m. on Saturday. Four young girls, aged between 9 and 17, were enjoying their evening when they were suddenly and brutally attacked. The suspect, later identified as 26-year-old Jared Ravizza, launched his unprovoked assault without any warning. The girls suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were quickly rushed to Boston hospitals for treatment.
An AMC employee reported that the theater was immediately placed on lockdown following the stabbings. Police acted swiftly, analyzing surveillance footage which revealed that the suspect had fled the scene in a black SUV. This crucial information set the stage for the dramatic events that followed.
McDonald’s Mayhem: Two More Victims Stabbed
About an hour later, Ravizza struck again, this time at a McDonald’s in Plymouth. A 21-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man were the unfortunate victims in this attack. They, too, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals.
Surveillance footage from the McDonald’s captured the harrowing moments of the attack. Ravizza allegedly reached through the drive-through window, stabbing the male victim with a large knife before parking his car, entering the restaurant, and stabbing the female victim. He then fled the scene in his black Porsche Macan SUV, the same vehicle linked to the earlier attack in Braintree.
High-Speed Chase and Arrest
The suspect’s getaway was short-lived. Within minutes of the McDonald’s attack, state troopers located Ravizza’s vehicle. However, he refused to stop, leading to a high-speed chase that ended when he crashed in Sandwich, about a 25-minute drive south of Plymouth. Ravizza sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Charges and Court Appearance
Ravizza faces multiple charges related to the McDonald’s stabbings, including assault with intent to murder and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He is expected to appear in court on Tuesday. Authorities are continuing their investigation, and more charges may follow as they piece together the events of this terrifying evening.
Possible Connections to Other Crimes
As the investigation unfolds, a disturbing possibility has emerged: Ravizza might be linked to a death in Deep River, Connecticut. Connecticut State Police reported responding to a “disturbance” where they found a deceased individual. While no direct connection has been confirmed between the Connecticut incident and the Massachusetts stabbings, the suspect in the Deep River case was also apprehended in Massachusetts.
Community in Shock
The community is reeling from these senseless acts of violence. The swift action by law enforcement to apprehend Ravizza has provided some relief, but questions remain. Why did he target these specific locations and individuals? What motivated his violent spree? As the investigation continues, residents of Braintree, Plymouth, and beyond are left to grapple with the aftermath of a nightmarish weekend.
Final Thoughts
This series of attacks highlights the unpredictable nature of such violent incidents and the critical role of rapid response by law enforcement. The timely capture of Jared Ravizza prevented further harm and allowed the community to begin the healing process. As more details emerge, we hope for answers that can bring some measure of understanding to these tragic events.
