MUSIC icon Tina Turner reportedly died of natural causes following a long illness.
Turner, 83, died on Wednesday at her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland, her team revealed.

The legendary singer died following a long, unspecified illness, a representative revealed to The Daily Mail.
Tina’s team announced her death on Wednesday, saying: “With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model.
“Tina Turner was born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939, in Nutbush, Tennessee, USA. She became famous in the late 60s as the singer of the band Ike & Tina Turner Revue, but later she became successful worldwide as a solo artist.
“With her music and her inexhaustible vitality, Tina Turner thrilled millions of fans and inspired many artists of subsequent generations.
“Global hits like ‘What’s Love Got To Do With it,’ ‘Private Dancer’ and ‘The Best,’ more than 180 million albums sold, 12 Grammy Awards, and over three decades of sold-out stadium tours around the world are just part of her unique legacy.”
Several entertainers Tina worked with have also commemorated her life.
Robbie Montgomery – a member of The Ikettes, a female backing trio that traveled the world for Ike and Tina Turner during their heyday – mourned her death in an interview with The U.S. Sun.
“Tina Turner was a true legend and an incredible woman who has left an indelible mark on the world,” she said.
“I am heartbroken, but I will forever cherish the memories we shared and the moments we spent together.”
Montgomery added that Tina’s music will continue to uplift listeners for generations.
“I offer my deepest condolences to her millions of fans around the world. Rest in peace, my dear Ann,” Montgomery said.
“You will be deeply missed. I’ll never forget our times together.”
Several other musicians who worked with Tina have posted tributes to Twitter.
“I’m devastated, what a woman!” singer-songwriter Rod Stewart said.
“A friend and mentor – ‘It takes two’ – but there was only one Tina Turner.”
Bryan Adams also shared a tribute on the platform.
“I’ll be forever grateful for you bringing me on tour, going in the studio together and most of all, being your friend,” he said.
“Thank you for being the inspiration to millions of people around the world for speaking your truth and giving us the gift of your unbelievable voice.”
Many fans mourned the legendary musician’s death on social media, as well.
“Rest in Power to that singular force we knew as Tina Turner,” one Twitter user said.
“What a life. We are all better for her having existed.”
Before her death, one of Tina’s final interviews was with The US Sun.
The star talked about her role as a trailblazing female musician.
“I am proud to have played a part in clearing that path for women of the next generation — and the next,” she said.
