Tom Sandoval, a polarizing reality TV star, has opened up about his suicidal thoughts in the aftermath of his cheating scandal.
In the debut episode of his podcast, Everybody Loves Tom, Sandoval told guests Kyle Chan and Jason Bader that he felt “very, very close” to suicide at times. He described his headspace at the time as a “domino effect” of thoughts, where his world collapsed and he was unable to see outside of his feelings.
Sandoval said that he is no longer dating Raquel Leviss, the co-star with whom he cheated on his long-term girlfriend, Ariana Madix. He also said that he felt like he was living “like a fugitive” after the news of the affair broke, and that he was followed and harassed relentlessly.
Sandoval said that he hasn’t had an alcoholic drink since April, and that touring with his band basically saved his life. He said that he can’t imagine being cooped up in a place and wallowing in misery.

Sandoval’s story is a reminder that even celebrities are not immune to mental health struggles. It is also a reminder that suicide is a serious issue, and that it is important to seek help if you are feeling suicidal.
When asked whether he (Tom) and Ariana will still be living together a year from now, Tom Sandoval said: “probably.” Sandoval also teased that he and Ariana may be in a better place than they were in March when Scandoval first broke. 👀 (Credit: RealityBlurb). #PumpRules pic.twitter.com/2sJSqkC5Bd
