After years of living under the radar, the suspect in Tupac Shakur’s murder has finally been caught. Duane “Keffe D” Davis was arrested last week in Henderson, Nevada, and newly released bodycam footage shows the moment of his arrest.
In the video, Davis is seen calmly reacting to his arrest as he is approached by police. He is handcuffed and placed in a police vehicle, where he is taken to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Headquarters and then later to the Clark County Detention Center.
Davis has long been known to investigators, and has himself admitted in interviews and his 2019 tell-all memoir, “Compton Street Legend,” that he was in the Cadillac where the gunfire came from that killed Tupac in 1996.
So, what was Davis doing all these years? Some say he was hiding out in Mexico, while others say he was living under a fake identity. Whatever the case may be, Davis is now behind bars and facing charges of murder.
The arrest of Davis is a major breakthrough in the case, and it brings hope that the mystery of Tupac’s death may finally be solved. But will Davis cooperate with investigators? Or will he take his secrets to the grave?
Only time will tell. But in the meantime, fans of Tupac can rejoice in the fact that his killer has finally been caught.
